  14.           Thank  you  for  taking  the  time  to  look into the Prescription
  15.           Assistant.  I think you will find it to be  a useful  tool in your
  16.           medical practice.
  17.  
  18.           Before attempting  to modify anything to fit your practice pattern
  19.           please take the time  to print  the program  documentation on this
  20.           disk (RXASSIST.DOC) using the following command...
  21.  
  22.                          COPY RXASSIST.DOC PRN
  23.  
  24.           It will take a while but will be worth your time.
  25.  
  26.           After working  through the  tutorial you should modify the program
  27.           for your practice (using a working copy of the original).

  29.                1. Delete the file RXHEAD.DAT...

  31.                          DEL RXHEAD.DAT <return>
  32.  
  33.                2. Delete the file DOCTOR.DAT...
  34.  
  35.                          DEL DOCTOR.DAT <return>

  37.                3. Run the program CODE...

  41.                   Fill in the information requested ... this will create 
  42.                   the printed information for the top of each prescrip-
  43.                   tion.  If you are a multiple physician setting you
  44.                   should fill in the clininc or hospital name instead
  45.                   of your own.

  47.                4. Run the program RXMGR...

  51.                   Select the add physicians option from the main menu
  52.                   (see the users manual if you have any questions) and
  53.                   provide the information requested for yourself and
  54.                   other physicians who will be using the system.

  56.                5. Now you're ready to put the Prescription Assistant to use.
